READY OR NOT.

Hey lovelies,

Are you ready for what you’re called to do as a child of

God or not? Are you somehow not convinced that you are

even ready when it seems like you are? Are you in the

category of “I’m not ready”? Are you getting read for the

race?

All this and many more questions we need to ask.

ourselves at some point in our life especially if you’re a

“baby Christian” (not yet spiritually matured). As

believers of Christ, ready or not we have to run the race to

the end.

To be ready the following equipments would be necessary:

  1. Be willing- when you’re ready and willing for the work, it only makes it easier for every other thing to fall in place.
  2. Put on the armor of God-  “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
  3. Studying of the Bible (Joshua 1:8)
  4. Spend quality time with God (Proverbs 8:17)
  5. Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
  6. Your service in Church ( . “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”   Colossians 3:23-24
  7. Be available for use- Whatever opportunity you get to be involved in things that has to do with God do it will all you heart and ensure to be readily available. (Isaiah 6:8).

Why some believers are not ready.

  1. Fear- some of us are scared of the what if’s in our spiritual life, we’re scared to explore the spiritual gifts and power God has bestowed upon us, scared to carry out our duties as his child.
  2. Sin- The popular saying that goes “sin dey sweet” well some believers actually do believe it is and as a result struggle with coming with from the bondage of sin even after the death of Christ has taken it away from us.
  3. Lukewarmness- In churches a lot of workers and even members are so cold and reluctant to do the things of God willingly except being forced or convinced to do so. (Revelation 3:16).
  4. Busy or unavailability to be used- Yes we are busy but when it comes to things of God we should give time for it and be solely involved in it without having people to remind us. Some believers are even so busy to the point that they forget to study the Bible or even say a word of prayer in the morning, as long as our busy life comes first then we aren’t ready to be used.
  5. Love of the flesh- This can be related to sin, the Bible says “ the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” the flesh is weak because of what it’s been fed with that makes it feel so tired and unwilling to do Gods will. As Christians we should be ready to deny our flesh somethings and until we understand the principle only then can we work on the path of readiness.
  6. Pride- When you engage in some conversations with some Christians about evangelism you hear something like “Me?? Go and evangelize? Oh no I can’t, people would be looking at me somehow, I can’t even post about it I don’t people to look at me as a spirit koko or a churchy person” all this are words of someone who still lives in Pride and such a person isn’t ready to be used.

Why you need to be ready.

  1. To fulfill God’s purpose- We are instruments God has placed here on earth to propagate the gospel and let the world know about him and along side with signs and wonders.
  2. In order not to be caught unaware- We do not want to wake up one day and it’s time for us to start manifesting Christ in us to people and we discover that we aren’t even ready or don’t even know what step to take next, we also don’t want to said to on the last “ depart from for I know you not”.
  3. To know how to deal with things the right way- God didn’t say it’s going to be an easy journey or a smooth one, people would step on your toes, criticize you, persecute you, the places you might be sent to might not be conducive for you but in all of this what would be your reaction? What would you do? WHAT WILL JESUS DO? (WWJD).

I hope this helps you get ready for Gods work, ready or

not the mantle is upon us, so it’s better we are ready than to be caught unaware.

THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN.

Hey lovelies, Happy weekend. So, to today’s discussion, I’m sure you’re wondering what exactly it's going to about well think less, stay tuned and read on 😉 . The fear of the unknown is usually something that gets in the way of a lot of us getting things done, trying new things, going outside of our comfort zone and everything new or different. It’s not easy to do things without being scared of what could happen, the what if’s and all the clauses, one sure thing is that this all brings about anxiety. I usually say something, everything in this life is a risk, sleeping is a risk but it doesn't make us not to sleep, driving is a risk but it doesn’t make us not to drive, working is a risk but it doesn’t make us stop working, business is a risk but it doesn’t stop us from investing and going into other lines of business and having several streams of businesses  and the list goes on and on of risks in life that we still engage in. A lot of the people some of us look up to or hea...

SIGNIFICANT HALLMARKS OF GOD'S MESSAGE.

Hey lovelies, Happy weekend, I hope we’re all doing well, staying safe, and trying to get ourselves back together(emotionally), let’s not forget to keep our hopes, faith and strength up no matter how hard things get, it might take longer but the land would be green ❤️ . Last weekend I wrote about “When God Speaks” and the importance of the spiritual sensitivity to know when God is talking. Today you are going to reading about how to know it’s God speaking. NB: this was inspired by my daily devotional  🤗 . It's important to hear from God or communicate with God but it’s also important to know when it’s God who is speaking. There are five significant hallmarks of God’s messages to us. They’re a means of determining whether the voice we’re hearing is truly the voice of God. If you have a question about whether a message is from God, line it up against these criteria’s: 1.  The message must be consistent with the Word of God, the Bible.   God will never tell us to engage in ...

TRACING THE DOTS.

Hey lovelies, Happy new month 🤗 , I pray for more of God’s evident presence this month in Jesus name. Don’t forget to always pray without ceasing. Today’s topic of discussion is sounding like some CID    or Sherlock Holmes kind of thing  😂  but I hope after reading this you try and trace the dots if you feel like you’ve lost the touch. Tracing the dots or in a better way getting it right.  In life as humans and as Christians we default, of course, we aren’t perfect so we have to default at a point in time or the other. Defaulting isn’t the issue but knowing when and where you’ve defaulted and correcting the default or making sure it doesn’t happen again is always the issue. A lot of times we hear people say things like “I used to be a prayer person before but now I don’t know what happened, I can’t even explain” does that person sound like you? Are you feeling that way?   At any point in life where you have to say these words have it in mind t...
